2023 Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes: Our 2023 Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc is a light, crisp wine from sundrenched vineyards in California. Fragrant citrus aromas of lemon and lime flower rise from the glass. The mouthfeel is bright with layers of pink grapefruit with sliced green apple. This wine finishes clean with a touch of green melon.
Viticulture Notes: The grapes for our Sauvignon Blanc were selected from some of the most prolific vineyards in California. The 2023 growing season was warmer than normal with average crop yields. Increasing temperatures hastened harvest during August, which produced smaller yields of highly concentrated berries.
Winemaking Notes: The wine was fermented at low to moderate temperatures between 55⁰ and 62⁰F, carefully selecting aromatic yeast to create intense aromas. After fermentation, all lots were aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling to preserve their brightness and balance.
