Our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is our thoroughbred. Through impeccable breeding and proper training this vineyard produces consistent winners. Dark and intense, with firmly structured currant, blackberry and spicy flavors that provide backbone and depth. Chocolate smokiness—this is a strickly Dark Horse term—gives an immediate description of the finish. This wine is so big it could carry John Candy as a jockey.

Does eat oats and goats eat oats but the Dark Horse eats the competition. Let the little lambs eat whatever they want. Our 2005 Zinfandel was in the winner's circle and our 2006 looks to be crossing to the lead for this vintage. Rich in jammy black cherry, intense wild berry, smoke and licorice. It has cinnamon and clove aromas followed by both white and cracked black pepper. An odds-on favorite to please.

2006 Gunfighter
Sonoma County Red Table Wine
The Gunfighter is wanted for being disgustingly inexpensive for such quality. It’s a crime that he could blend Zinfandel, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon into such an awesome wine.
Winemaker Michael Loykasek has scoured the countryside for the finest grapes to craft this wine. It is soft and supple with forward berry fruit, with notes of sage, clove, and cinnamon. If you see the Gunfighter, you should approach with aggression as there were only 600 cases produced. Get him while you can but beware: he is armed and dangerously delicious.
